A person was shot during a disturbance on Tuesday around lunchtime. It happened in the 300 block of W. Gilman Street.

Lafayette Police Department spokesman Sgt. Wayne Griffin says the victim's injury to his abdomen was non-life threatening. The suspect actually administered first aid to the victim when officers arrived, according to Sgt. Griffin's press release.

The victim refused to press charges against the suspect.
