Shreveport Jailer Arrested After Argument

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — A Shreveport police jailer was placed on administrative leave after being arrested in neighboring Bossier City.

The Times of Shreveport reports Anika Williams was arrested Tuesday evening and booked with domestic abuse battery and simple assault. The arrest followed an argument that allegedly turned physical while a child was present.

Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw placed Williams on administrative leave.
