St. Landry Deputies Investigating $12,000 Wal-Mart Theft
(KPEL) -- Sheriff's officials in St. Landry Parish are investigating the theft of thousands of dollars of electronics from a Wal-Mart in Eunice.
Deputies say on June 27, a man and woman were caught on surveillance camera approaching the electronics counter. With the woman acting as a lookout, the man broke into a cabinet where cell phones were stored. Police say the pair were able to steal about $12,000 worth of merchandise before leaving the store.
Surveillance cameras outside show the two leaving the parking lot in an unknown model silver SUV with tinted windows.
