In St. Landry Parish, the parish council is considering four property tax resolutions, three renewals, and a revival of an expired millage.

The Daily World reports that tax propositions include funding for a fire district in the northern end of the parish, a community library, a drainage district and another for roads and bridges in an area around Opelousas

These resolutions are scheduled to appear on the May 9th ballot.

Each resolution is scheduled for adoption at the council’s regular monthly meeting January 15th.

There will be no public hearing scheduled for the resolutions, but council members said individuals can address the council on any of the resolutions once the regular meeting starts.
