St. Martinville Woman Arrested On Charge Of Government Benefits Fraud

36-year-old Lashaundra Michelle McAllister of St. Martinville has been arrested following a report into the alleged misuse of government funds.

Major Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office says McAllister allegedly received over $7,000.00 in S.N.A.P. benefits from 2017-2019 based on false information she provided to authorities with the Department of Children and Family Services.

She's been booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on 1 Count of Government Benefits Fraud (Felony).

No bond has been set.
