Nicholas Laue , 27, 1540 Hickory Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 2, 2016 at 7:41 am for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and speeding. A deputy conducting a booking of Laue at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center located the active warrant for Laue’s arrest. No bail is set.

Christine N. Cantrell , 28, 1102 Fourth Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 2, 2016 at 1:42 pm on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy transported Cantrell from the Livingston Parish Detention Center to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $100,000.

Carl J. Halvorson , 44, 44457 Highway 429 St. Amant, LA was arrested on June 2, 2016 at 3:42 pm for failure to appear on the charges of failure to obey traffic control signals, operating a vehicle without a driver’s license, and operating a vehicle not covered by security. Halvorson was also charged on 2 warrants for domestic abuse battery and domestic abuse battery (strangulation). A deputy transported Halvorson from the Ascension Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. The domestic abuse charges are the result of investigations into 2 separate batteries that occurred at a residence in the Patterson area. Deputies responding to one of the reports found evidence that Halvorson placed his hands around a female victim’s neck and choked her causing the victim to lose consciousness. When the victim awoke, Halvorson continued to hit the victim. In the investigation of the second crime, deputies found evidence that Halvorson repeatedly punched the same female victim. No bail is set.

Scotty Pellerin , 35, 905 Dartez Drive, New Iberia, LA was arrested on June 2, 2016 at 8:55 am on a warrant for reckless operation of a vehicle. A correctional officer transported Pellerin from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. The warrant was issued following a complaint reckless driving on LA 90 Frontage Road in the Jeanerette area. The deputy collected statements indicating that Pellerin traveled into the path of an oncoming vehicle causing the vehicle to move off of the roadway to avoid a collision. No bail is set.
Dzu Hoang , 38, 705 Magnolia Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on June 2, 2016 at 9:09 pm for aggravated assault with a firearm. Deputies responded to a report of an assault involving a gun on Cypress Street in Amelia. During the course of the investigation, deputies gathered statements and other evidence indicating that Hoang was parked in the roadway when a verbal argument broke out between him and the driver of another vehicle who was attempting to pass. During the argument, Hoang retrieved a handgun from his vehicle and pointed it at two victims. Hoang was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Kentrell Diggs , 23, 428 Lagonda Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 2, 2016 at 9:07 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, failure to use seatbelts, operating a vehicle without a license, and failure to honor written promise to appear. While booking Diggs at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.
