St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Arrest Report

Trevor Martin , 19, 4605 Southwest I Avenue, Lawton, OK was arrested on March 3, 2017 at 6:41 pm for possession of marijuana. The K-9 Unit detective conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 90 in Patterson and spoke with Martin who was a passenger in the vehicle. The detective discovered that Martin had 2 marijuana cigarettes in his pocket. Martin was released on a summons to appear in court on June 13, 2017.

Jennifer McGovney, 42, 175 Mars Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 4, 2017 at 3:09 pm for disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Columbus Avenue in Bayou Vista and learned that a female subject was causing a disturbance in the neighborhood by yelling from inside a vehicle while driving down the street. The deputy identified the subject as McGovney and located her at her residence. McGovney admitted that she was yelling at another female subject as she drove down the street. McGovney was released on a summons to appear in court on June 13, 2017.

Christopher Percle, 18, 1206 Clements Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on March 5, 2017 at 9:47 am for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a report of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. The deputy spoke with an off-duty Morgan City Police Officer who observed a male subject concealing video games in his pants and confronted him. The suspect was identified as Percle. The deputy spoke with Percle and discovered that he concealed the video games with intent to leave the store without paying for the items. Percle was released on a summons to appear in court on June 13, 2017.

Moises V. Santana, 44, 227 Arlington Street, Apt. #15, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on march 5, 2017 at 9:47 am for no motor vehicle insurance and no driver's license. A deputy observed a vehicle parked on the side of US Highway 90 near Amelia and stopped to assist the motorist. The deputy observed that the vehicle had a flat tire. While speaking with the driver, Santana, the deputy found that he was operating the vehicle without a driver's license and without insurance. Santana was released on a summons to appear in court on June 13, 2017.

Billy Kugler, Jr., 34, 1961 S. Woodcrest Avenue, Denham Springs, LA was arrested on march 5, 2017 at 11:02 am for proper equipment required, expired motor vehicle inspection, and driving with a suspended license. A deputy traveling on US Highway 90 observed a vehicle with a large crack in the windshield obstructing the driver's view. The deputy conducted a traffic stop in Bayou Vista and spoke with the driver, Kugler, about the reason for the stop. The deputy then observed that the vehicle inspection was expired and later found that Kugler was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Kugler was released on a summons to appear in court on June 13, 2017.

Sonnie A. Authement, 19, 313 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on march 5, 2017 at 9:44 pm on a warrant from St. Louis County, Missouri for possession of a controlled substance (heroin). A deputy conducting a traffic stop on US Highway 90 in Berwick identified a passenger in the vehicle as Authement and located the active warrant for her arrest. Authement was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
