State Farm Asks to Raise Rates

Louisiana homeowners insured through State Farm will pay more if the insurance giant gets its way. State Farm Fire & Casualty Co. has asked the state to raise rates by an average of 8.5 percent. That amounts to amount $32.7 million in higher rates.
