State Fire Marshal Butch Browning says investigators will continue checking out the devastating blaze that damaged First Baptist Church in Bossier City.

The possible cause of the fire has been linked to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) battery back-up for a computer.

Browning tells KEEL News this is very tedious work to find out exactly what went wrong.

At the height of the firefighting effort there was a total of 30 firefighting units on scene, 19 Bossier City Fire Department units and 11 Shreveport Fire Department units. The Bossier City Fire Department had approximately 65 firefighters and support personal working the fire over the course of the day.

Browning says the big thing to remember is never to overload a power supply or a power strip. He also says you should keep them clean.
