State Okays Rate Hike For State Farm Customers

If you own a home in Louisiana, some bad news for you. The state has given State Farm approval to raise insurance rates by an average 7.8 percent. In Lafayette, residents will see their rates go up an average 6.9 percent. State Farm says the rate hike will go into effect with new policies on February 15th and renewal policies on April 1st.
