Unfortunately, it looks like the weather is going to play a part in the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship in San Marcos, Texas.

The tournament gets underway on Wednesday, with four games on the schedule.

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, the top-seed in the event, are scheduled to play their first game on Thursday, at 12:30 pm, against either Texas St., Appalachian St., or ULM.

The championship game is slated for Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock.

But again, the rain may juggle the schedule, from a little bit to a lot.

A flash flood watch is effect in the San Marcos this morning, with an 80% chance of rain in the forecast.

Thursday looks like the best day, but the rain chances are still at 50%.

On Friday, the rain chances go back up to 80%.

Championship Saturday doesn't look good at all, at least right now, with a 100% chance of rain in the forecast.

Obviously, due to the rain and cloud cover, the temperatures will be mild, with afternoon highs on Wednesday a Thursday in the lower 80's.

Friday is expected to be downright cool, for this time of year, with an afternoon high expected to peak at 66.

The high on Saturday is expected to warm up to right around 74.
