FREETOWN, Sierra Leone (AP) — A plane carrying a surgeon who contracted Ebola in Sierra Leone is expected to arrive in a few hours in Nebraska, where he will be treated.

The Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha says in a statement that the specially equipped plane carrying Dr. Martin Salia is expected to land Saturday at around 2 p.m. local time.

The hospital hasn't named Salia as the patient, but Sierra Leone's chief medical officer, Dr. Brima Kargbo, confirmed to The Associated Press that the patient on the plane is Salia.

Salia will be the third Ebola patient to be treated in the Nebraska hospital's isolation unit and the 10th treated in the U.S.
