Suspicious Fire At Another Religious Institution

There has been a fire at a Baptist Church in Opelousas.

In addition to firefighters, representatives of the Louisiana Fire Marshall's Office are on the scene at the church in the 1400 block of Highway 742.

The fire was reported at the Greater Union Baptist Church at about a quarter before 2 o'clock Tuesday morning.

This is the second fire at a religious institution in St. Landry Parish in the last week, and the third overall in the state of Louisiana this week.
