A former dispatcher from Gretna was arrested last week, accused of refusing to return more than $1.2 million that had been accidentally deposited into her brokerage account.

Criminals love them some checks. Why? Because they are way easier to manipulate and/or counterfeit than paper money.

Tuesday 38 year old Joe Lee Colbert Jr. of Baton Rouge pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud.
