Boil Water Advisory

Several schools in Lafayette Parish will be under a boil advisory.

Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) has announced a Boil Water Advisory, affecting several parts of the city.

The Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) has issued a Boil Water Advisory, alerting residents and businesses in specific areas of the city to exercise caution with their water usage.

A major water main break will leave residents under a boil advisory and without water for about four hours today.

Water distribution sites for citizens in Shreveport and the surrounding areas in Caddo Parish are up and running.

The planned outage is expected to last at least six hours and will be followed by a boil advisory as a precaution.

The boil water advisory will be in effect until the all clear is given from town officials.

This goes into effect when water is shut off tonight at 11 o'clock.

Crews are working to repair the broken line.
