The Brood X cicadas have emerged in the midwest after a 17-year snooze underground

Why the warning? Well, obviously, it's because people are eating them. Which is fine, if they are cooked enough. (Enough = cooked until their guts are dry)

There can be severe abdominal pain, vomiting, bloody diarrhea, and in really bad cases even possible blockages.

That's right, billions of periodical cicadas are about to crawl out from under the ground to eat our souls and faces off.
