Jury selection is set to begin in New Orleans for two people authorities say are tied to the drug and sexual assault case that brought down former NFL star Darren Sharper.
The legal woes of a Darren Sharper just keep going from bad to worse. A federal judge has rejected his 9 year prison sentence deal and is expected to ask for more jail time for the former New Orleans Saints star.
Darren Sharper could be facing an even stiffer and longer sentence in Louisiana despite the nine year federal prison sentence that has already been handed down.
Erik Nunez and former St. Bernard Parish sheriff's deputy Brandon Licciardi are the remaining defendants in state and federal cases in which Sharper has pleaded guilty.
