Four juveniles are facing criminal charges after they allegedly took school buses for a joy ride at Donaldsonville High School, smashing a brick building while also damaging three vehicles.

An off-duty state police detective shot and wounded a man who allegedly broke into his unmarked car and then threatened to shoot him.

Donaldsonville residents are being told not to drink tap water. St. Joseph residents know what they are going through.

The Advocate reports work will include milling, patching, overlaying and re-striping the roadway, as well as adding signage.

They said drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes.
