Drive-By Shooting

Local authorities swiftly apprehended suspect in Abbeville drive-by shooting incident on LA Highway 695.

The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Potato Shed Road at the intersection of Grand Anse Highway at approximately 6:30 pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.

Upon arrival, officers found two male victims with multiple gunshot wounds and a third victim in critical condition.

18-year-old Roy Randle, a suspect in a recent drive-by shooting, is on the loose.

The suspect's car is described as a small silver four door car.

Sheriff Louis Ackal is asking anyone knowing the whereabouts of Hurst to call the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-369-3711.

It appears road rage got the best of 30-year-old Jeroswaski Collette of New Iberia on Sunday.

The suspect fled down Kaliste Saloom Road.

Police have arrested 19-year-old David Harrington of Opelousas for the Tuesday night drive-by shooting that injured one person.

The victim was taken to a hospital, and he remains in stable condition.
