Lafayette is a very unique place. It's one of the many reasons I chose to move here so many years ago. Lately, I've had a few people ask me about the "Flag House" in Lafayette on the Thruway. I'm not certain as to what the motivation might be behind it all, but I'm all for it.
The comments come after controversy surrounding a gay pride flag that was flown at Girard Park in Lafayette shortly after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act.
