The Louisiana Department of Education has announced that approved school systems will be receiving $40 million for the Reimagine School Systems program.
Charities, faith-based organizations, other nonprofit organizations and small businesses can now submit applications for grants of up to $25,000 in coronavirus relief set aside by Louisiana lawmakers.
A federal program designed to help live performance venues shuttered during the pandemic has now awarded $107.3 million in grants across 126 organizations in Louisiana.
Grants will be awarded to Louisiana small businesses to help with recovery from COVID-19 economic impacts, according to the Louisiana Main Street website.
The grants are aimed at developing what the U.S. department calls a "leadership pipeline" that selects, prepares, places, supports and retains school leaders or leadership teams at low-performing schools.
