We've had quite an eventful day across Acadiana today with weather, and there's more on the way. So far, we've dealt with hail, flooding, 60mph winds and tornadoes. One Acadiana motorist was caught on Highway 90 during one of the hail storms and caught it all on his dash cam.

DOTD suggests using University Avenue, Pinhook Road or Verot School Road as detour routes.

The work is expected to take a month to complete.

The work will happen between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day.

Officials ask travelers to drive with caution in the work zones.

Oversized loads will not allowed that are over 12 feet.
