It's radiothon time at KPEL and we are doing our part today, asking members of our generous Acadiana listening community to once again open your hearts and wallets, and give to an organization that is truly worthy of your support.
Last night the grand prize drawing for "Home For The Holidays"was held in Copper Meadows subdivision in Youngsville. The fundraiser sponsored by the Acadian Home Builders Association, Townsquare Media and KATC, TV 3 has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for various charities including St. Michael's Home for Veterans.
The Acadian Home Builders Association has announced that yesterday's radiothon broke records from the last couple of years and that they are happy with the response.

This year's Acadian Home Builders Association and KATC-TV 3 "Home for the Holidays" winner is Marcelia Bourque of Broussard. Bourque won the home in Eloi Plantation, and it's worth more than $400,000. A beautiful home has been built in the Eloi subdivision with donated time, money and experience. The home will be given away this week, with the proceeds benefiting Lafayette Habitat For Humanity, Faith House, St. Michael's Center for Veterans, and Acadiana Youth.
Once again this year, members of the Acadian Home Builders Association have teamed up to raise money for St. Michael's Shelter for Veterans, Faith House, Lafayette Habitat for Humanity and the Acadiana Shelters for Youth.
