It's time to get rid of the things that don't belong in your trash can.

This is an opportunity for residents to get rid of household chemicals that are dangerous to dispose of down drains, in trash carts, and in recycling carts.

You can get rid of household waste items in Lafayette this weekend.

The next Household Hazardous Waste Day, hosted by Lafayette Consolidated Government, will take place on Saturday, November 20 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Cajundome.

The event will start at 8 o'clock Saturday morning and conclude at noon.

Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) will be holding the next Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, March 6 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Cajundome.

It's a day where you can drop off a whole host of items that CAN NOT go into your normal waste receptacle.

Residents of Vermilion Parish and the City of Carencro will be able to get rid of unwanted household items this Saturday as each is holding a respective Hazardous Waste Collection Day.

Twice a year, Lafayette Consolidated Government puts on a Household Hazardous Waste Day. This allows residents a way to properly dispose their household chemicals.

The collection event will be held at 310 Railroad Avenue which is the Public Works Facility.

The semi-annual Household Hazardous Waste Day event scheduled for Saturday, April 14, is being postponed because of the forecasted rain tomorrow.

The event is at Cajun Field this Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon.
