Lafayette Horse Farm

Louisiana's public lease law requires governmental bodies to make bidding for projects on public property open to the public.

Lafayette Central Park began community forums today at the Rosa Parks Transportation Center, during which Lafayette residents were invited to show up and share their visions for the future of the 100-acre Horse Farm property.

As part of the agreement, Lafayette has 10 years to develop the Horse Farm into a park or the property would need to be returned to the university.

It's great to see local restaurants banning together to promote local cuisine.
