Louisiana Men's Basketball took the court tonight to start the 2021-2022 season. The Cajuns had lost some members from last year's squad, specifically Cedric Russell. So all eyes were on the Cajuns to see how they would handle said losses. Well, they handled it beautifully as the Cajuns start the season off with a win!

The Ragin' Cajuns snapped their 3 game losing streak today against ULM. UL performed in a spectacular fashion, beating ULM 88-72. With this win Coach Bob Marlin ties Kermit Davis with the most wins as a coach in Sun Belt history.
The Ragin' Cajuns came close tonight against UL Monroe, but it was not enough to get the victory. UL Monroe won 72-66 against the Ragin' Cajuns. ULM won the first half 34-23. Louisiana put forth a valiant effort in the 2nd half to win it 43-38; however, UL Monroe ended up hanging on and earning the victory.
The Ragin' Cajuns' 5 game win streak was snapped tonight by Arkansas State. Arkansas State defeated UL 95-87. With this defeat UL moves out of first place in the west with a conference record of 7-4 and an overall record of 13-5.
The Ragin' Cajuns went into San Marcos and stole the victory away from the Bobcats of Texas State. In the final seconds of the game when all looked lost, Devin Butts came away with a steal and lay up that sealed the game for UL. Louisiana defeated the Bobcats 74 to 73.
