A Mississippi mom says she shot an escaped monkey from last week’s Jasper County truck crash after it appeared in her yard early Sunday morning.

A public warning has been issued after a transport truck carrying lab monkeys from was involved in a crash, resulting in some of the monkeys escaping.

The man who police say stole two monkeys from the zoo in Dallas is talking and he is not shy about his love for animals.

While an arrest has been made in the theft of the 12 monkeys from Zoosiana in Broussard, there is currently no information on their whereabouts.
