Two seafood seasons are coming to an end tomorrow (Thurs.) - for the most part. State Wildlife and Fisheries authorities say they'll close public oyster areas east of the Mississippi River, while the fall shrimp season will close in most southeast Louisiana waters.

The state says it wants to track oyster boats working on public grounds.

The oyster harvest season will close Friday in the public seed grounds of Hackberry Bay, Lake Chien and Lake Felicity.
