Project Front and the Environmental Quality Division of Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) will once again host the annual Trash Bash to be held on April 9, 2016.
Are you swamped with trash you just have nothing to do with and can't dispose of? Project Front Yard and the Lafayette Consolidated Government have the solution.
The project idea was presented to St. Martin Parish earlier in April, and this past Sunday, April 19, the group held its "B3-Project Front Yard", meaning Beautify Before Benefit.
Project Front Yard says while this Sunday clean up effort is not for volunteers, they do hope to remind residents to clean up their own areas if they see debris collecting on their streets.
The Lafayette City-Parish Council voted Tuesday night to adopt a package of new anti-littering measures in conjunction with the Durel administration's Project Front Yard campaign.
The project is backed by heads within the government, business and education communities, along with local media outlets — including this one, Townsquare Media.
