Will a new end-of-year screening help get students back on the right track?

We could all use more time to flip through a book, right?

Summer is here and for the Lafayette Public Library, that means their summer reading program is back.

Today, March 2 is Dr. Seuss's birthday, but the party will be a few books light. Six books light to be exact.

This initiative will give incentives to students in a new way.

They offer hundreds of books to choose from so your child can get a lot of books read before school starts in the fall.

Principal Mary Harris says that the program has already shown positive results in the form of higher test scores.
