Wildlife agents cited five south Louisiana men for violating shrimping rules and regulations at the popular wildlife refuge over the past several days.
It's that time of the year when it cools off enough for a day outside to be bearable. It's also getting to be a time of the year when the redfish are hungry.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will be closing the refuge to the public on Sept. 5 through Sept. 7 to hold its annual nuisance alligator harvest.
