Caroline & Company took to Facebook to expose a woman they claim had shoplifted from them. However, the shoplifting incident seems to be the tip of the iceberg for a woman who could be Lafayette's biggest scammer.
In response to a post she saw, a Youngsville resident thought it would be a good time to explain sadphishing which, in reality, is not new behavior at all.
If you see a Facebook post about a dog that was found roaming around the streets of Lafayette, be sure to do your research before opening up your pockets or donating any money or time to have it "rehomed."
Be aware: the "Benefit Information" mailer disguised as a government program is a scam.
Well, maybe not a scam, but the business sending them appears to have questionable business practices, in my opinion.
