There is no way to know exactly how much water may come to parts of St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary and Iberia, but Army Corps of Engineer estimates show that it could be between 5 to 25 feet if the Morganza Spillway is opened.
Due to yesterday's explosion of that gas rig in the Bourque Road area, Slemco must replace electrical equipment in Ridge. Power will be turned off for one hour starting this morning at 9:30 a.m. while the equipment is replaced.
