Back in May, the Lafayette Parish City Council voted 5-4 against a smoking ban in bars/clubs. Now, a councilperson who was with the majority is helping revise the ordinance he voted against to just include bars with "live music."
At the meeting, the councilman plans to give information about how the process to make bars smoke free is coming along and what they might look to do in the future.
