Speed limit

By this Friday, August 5, motorists traveling the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge will see signage warning them about speeding across the 18-mile bridge.

No one wants to be pulled over for speeding, especially when the area in which you are pulled over is on your regular route.

So, if you were to get a ticket at or near this sign for driving above 25 miles per hour, would you fight it?

Use the right lane if you're going to lollygag at 10 miles an hour under the speed limit.

A new highway being built in the state of Texas is going to allow travelers to drive at speeds of up to 85 miles per hour.  This is being done because the road is considered safe for that speed and it is being hoped that this will attract more people to the toll road because they can go faster...

The speed limit on US 190 near the Atchafalaya flooding area is being reduced today to 45 miles per hour to avoid accidents with displaced wildlife.

For the first time ever the state is raising the speed limit of a major highway to 75 miles an hour.
