State of Emergency

After tornadoes hit New Iberia today and a round of deadly storms in the northeast part of Louisiana last night, Governor John Bel Edwards has declared a State of Emergency.

Two people have been arrested in connection to a looting incident that occurred at the Acadiana Mall where over $1,000 in merchandise was stolen. According to reports, the two looters were questioned by police about the merchandise and arrested when they were involved in a traffic accident shortly after leaving the scene of the crime.
