President Obama was officially sworn in yesterday so today's inaugural ceremonies are just pomp and circumstance.

Gov. Bobby Jindal is beginning his second term in office with a focus on education and a pledge not to rest on the accomplishments of his first four years. Jindal will be sworn in today at the Old State Capitol, in a ceremony overshadowed by the college football championship game.

Louisiana's 144 lawmakers are taking their oaths of office Monday and choosing their new leaders. The House and Senate are expected to back Gov. Bobby Jindal's choices for the leadership positions.
