The folks at United Blood Services report donations are down. There is a particular need for type O negative red cell donations and type AB plasma donations. October is, of course, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Cancer patients are often in need of platelet and red cell transfusions to counter the effects of chemotherapthy, and radiation.

If you have type O negative, AB positive or AB negative you can donate at United Blood Services on Bertrand Drive.

This Thursday, July 9th and Friday, July 10th we invite you roll up your sleeves and give the gift of life. United Blood Services along with Townsquare Media are presenting the annual "Race Against the Clock" blood drive.

Our friends at United Blood Services once again need your help. They have informed us that they currently have less than a one day supply of Type A Negative, B Negative and O Negative blood.
