Stay vigilant against phone scammers impersonating law enforcement in Lafayette Parish.

Baton Rouge Police said Kendrick Miller caused a police search across the downtown area when he ran away from the 19th Judicial Courthouse yesterday afternoon after learning he had active warrants.

The incident happened on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in the 400 block of Wagon Trail Road in Carencro around 7:45 pm.

UPDATE: According to LPSO Spokesperson Valerie Ponseti, there is no hostage situation near UL Lafayette. Police units were in the area to conduct a search warrant.
