Mayor Ken Ritter and his team at Youngsville Sports Complex have some super exciting news to share just in time for summer.

A vehicle crashed through the Youngsville Complex Sign early Sunday morning (Oct. 30).

Youngsville continues to grow as the city's first hotel is reportedly in the works.

The fireworks display, beginning at 9:00 pm, can be viewed from the Youngsville Sports Complex, your home, a local business or even online through a live stream on the City of Youngsville Facebook page.

Registration is now open on the Youngsville Sports Complex website for boys and girls aged 3 - 14.

Drew Brees and his FNA flag football league are headed to Youngsville!

Five NCAA-spec sand volleyball courts will be constructed in an existing green space adjacent to the tennis courts at the complex.

The Acadiana Amateur Baseball League is currently looking for players for its upcoming spring season.

Volunteers are needed for Sunday.

Youngsville voters in 2011 approved a 1-cent sales tax to pay for the park. The tax generates up to $2 million a year.

Mayor Wilson Viator says the city will begin purchasing items such as pitching mounds, portable fencing and soccer goals.

Both the baseball and soccer fields have been seeded, and the first games will start next year.

Wednesday night the Youngsville City Council will be holding a special meeting to consider final adoption for a one cent sales tax increase.  The sales tax increase would be used for a new sport complex in Youngsville.
