SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — Authorities say a teenager has been charged with attempted first degree murder for shooting at Shreveport police officers.

A news release from the Shreveport Police Department says the shooting happened Saturday about 2 a.m. after police responded to a disturbance call at a house.

The release says that a male ran out of the back of the house when officers arrived. He allegedly turned and fired at the officers during a foot pursuit. Authorities say the officers returned fire, but nobody was hit.

The suspect was arrested later. Authorities say he is 17 years old. The Associated Press is not naming the suspect because he is a minor.
