Texas Bridge Along I-10 Damaged After Truck Carrying Load Hits It

A heads up for those traveling I-10 East along the Katy Freeway. an overpass has been damaged and now the Freeway is down to one lane.

According to KHOU, a truck's load was too high and it hit the bridge causing visible damage to the structure. Drivers should expect delays in the area as TxDOT crews evaluate if there is any damage.

For those in the area, Memorial Avenue is your best detour, and then take that to downtown Houston.

The vehicle responsible for damaging the overpass was transporting old smashed-up vehicles, and as you can see in the photo below, several vehicles were placed on top of each other.
