Texas Lottery luck has been running about as hot as the summer sun in Texas. Already this week the Texas Lottery has confirmed a huge $29 million dollar win in Lotto Texas with Extra. That winner was sold in Austin, Texas. Also, the Texas Lottery has been cutting checks for big wins in San Antonio for a one million dollar Powerball win and a three million dollar Mega Millions win in Houston.

So it would stand to reason that a lot of lottery players in the Lone Star State would be watching Wednesday night's Powerball drawing with a lot of anticipation. The game was offering an estimated top prize of $96.2 million. Here is how the drawing for Wednesday, June 26, 2024, played out.

The numbers that we saw roll out of the hopper last night were:

04   09   36   47   56   Powerball 07   Power Play x5

To verify your ticket numbers you'll want to visit the Official Texas Lottery Website or the Official Powerball Website. You can not only confirm your ticket as a winner but you'll find instructions on how to claim the prize that was won by that ticket.

Our sources at Powerball have revealed that there was no ticket sold across the game's footprint that matched the numbers needed to claim the $96.2 million. So, that jackpot will grow until the next drawing which is scheduled for Saturday evening. When the balls drop on Saturday night the estimated jackpot will be $113 million for the annuity or $54.3 million for the lump sum.

While there was no jackpot winner for Powerball the Texas Lottery has confirmed that one of the game's largest prizes from last night was earned by a Texas-sold ticket. One ticket sold in Texas matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball. That ticket purchaser also opted for the Power Play option and that means the total prize earned by that ticket at cash in time will be a quarter of a million bucks. Yeah, that ticket is worth $250,000.

Another Texas ticket matched four of five with the Powerball but didn't have the Power Play option on board so their win was only $50,000. I bet that ticket holder is wishing they had spent the extra dollar on the Power Play.

Your next opportunity to win millions of dollars via the Texas Lottery will come in Friday's Mega Millions lottery drawing. That game boasts an annuitized estimated jackpot of $116 million and a lump sum payout of $55.4 million.

Please remember there is a risk when you play lottery games. Most people do lose money when they play. So, only spend what you can afford to lose. If you have a gambling problem call 1-800-GAMBLER for free assistance and referrals. Good Luck.
