The Word: Conversation With Former UL Pitcher Matt Plitt
One of the most definable team's in the Ragin' Cajuns program history was the 2014 58 win team that not only hosted a Regional but also a Super Regional, and came one win away from appearing in the College World Series.
Matt Plitt was a senior on that dynamic 2014 team that had a distinct winning mentality that he feels propelled them to as far as they went that season. In fact, that team didn't lose back-to-back games that entire season until the final two games in the Super Regional against Ole Miss.
I hosted The Starting Lineup on Wednesday for Cody Junot and Steve Peloquin and Matt was nice enough to join me for the entire two hours (7-9 a.m. M-F). In part one, Plitt tells us what he's been up to since graduating, we talk youth baseball, and his journey through the game before he got to UL.
In part two we really dig into his time at Louisiana, that 2014 team, a behind the scenes look at what it was like playing for Tony Robichaux and more.
