Today Marks Anniversary Of First Deepwater Drilling Permit Issued Since BP Oil Spill

Today marks a significant time in the state's recovery from the BP Oil Spill. It's the first anniversary of the date the Interior Department issued the first permit for a new deepwater well under new safety rules following the disaster. In the year since, the government has issued 61 new permits.
