In this edition of "Not Necessarily The News," Tootie Landry decides to go where she hadn't been before - the city bus!

"Hey! I'm Tootie Landry and this is what I found out today!

I often wonder how easy it would be to not have to drive around Lafayette in this traffic! So this past Saturday, I decided to take the city bus around town. I didn't have any particular place I needed to go, so I picked Walmart!

I then headed downtown to the bus station. It was so confusing trying to figure out which bus to get on. But,thanks to a hustler who called all the bus numbers out to me, I got on the wrong bus! He was yelling 'There's the #25 bus, #30, #50 and #60 bus.' I couldn't help myself! I yelled 'Bingo' just as the doors closed on the bus!

Everyone seemed to know each other who got on and off. I wanted to bust out and sing,  "Hop on the bus Gus", but everyone had their earphones on!

Mr. Felton was my bus driver. He's been on his job for 7 1/2 years. I have to say, the bus was clean, the experience was fun and I made a whole bunch of new friends! I even ended up at Walmart...it was just the wrong one!

And finally, it's always a great day to ride a bus as long as Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves aren't passengers!

And I'm Tootie Landry and this is "Not Necessarily the News"!"
