According to St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Captain Ginny Higgins, via press release, a man and woman from Breaux Bridge have been arrested for allegedly committing sexual assault on a juvenile.
While some details are being released, because the case involves a juvenile, there are many details that will not be released.
Higgins says that 40-year-old Frederick Johnson and 41-year-old Crystal Owen were arrested on several charges.
Johnson was arrested on the following charges:
- Two counts of 1st Degree Rape (LA R.S. 14:42)
- Three counts of 3rd Degree Rape (LA R.S. 14:43)
Owen was arrested on the following charges:

An investigation began, Higgins says, after there was a complaint that a sexual assault had happened. Warrants were obtained for both Johnson and Owen. Both of them were booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center. Johnson's bond was set close to $300,000, and Owen's bond was set at $80,000.
