Two Suspects Arrested in Robbing & Beating of Disabled Person in New Iberia
Rijhanelle Flugence and Joseph Roberts, Jr. were arrested on Saturday for allegedly robbing and severely beating a disabled person last week.
Spokesperson Sergeant Daesha Hughes with the New Iberia Police Department says the incident happened at the intersection of Corrine and Field Streets on April 25.
Flugence faces the following charges:
- Attempted First-Degree Murder
- Second Degree Robbery
- Cruelty to the Infirm
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of Schedule II Drugs
Roberts faces Attempted First-Degree Murder and Second-Degree Robbery charges.
Both Flugence and Roberts are being held at the Iberia Parish Jail.
