Two UNO Faculty Members To Receive Teaching Awards

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Two University of New Orleans faculty members are slated to receive teaching awards at Saturday's commencement ceremony.

The university's International Alumni Association will present its annual Excellence in Teaching Award to associate history professor Connie Zeanah Atkinson and psychology instructor Gilda Reed.

The $2,000 awards will be presented during a pre-ceremony reception at Lakefront Arena's Spotlight lounge.

Atkinson has taught courses at UNO for 15 years. Reed has been an instructor at UNO for 18 years.
