Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Wednesday afternoon, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad travels to Harrisonburg, Virginia, to take on the James Madison Dukes, in non-conference action.

Tipoff time is scheduled for 3 o’clock.

The match-up will serve as the only game of a short one-game road trip for Louisiana, who returns home on Sunday, when they host Texas Southern.

The two teams have one common opponent, in Montana St., who they both lost to. Louisiana lost to the Bobcats, 84-83, while James Madison fell, 80-73.

The Cajuns, who beat Delaware St., 83-82, on Monday night, is 2-2 on the young season.

Louisiana is outscoring the opposition, 89.3/74.8, and outshooting them, 45%/42%, while also holding down a 43.5/34.8 rebound advantage.

The Cajuns are paced by junior forward Bryce Washington, who is averaging 17.0 points, to go along with 11.3 rebounds-per-game, and junior guard Frank Bartley, who is averaging 17.0 points and 2.8 rebounds.

James Madison, a member of the Colonial Athletic Association, lost to Texas Southern, 67-56, on Monday night, and is still currently winless, at 0-4 on the season.

The Dukes are being outscored by opponents, 73.8/63.5, and being outshot, 43%/38%, while outrebounding the opposition, 36.5/33.8.

James Madison is led by junior guard Joey McLean, who is averaging 13.0 points and 1.8 rebounds-per-game, and senior forward Shakir Brown, who is at 11.8 and 4.5, respectively.
